Wrap You Up In My Daisy Chains...
I've been wanting to do more '60s influenced looks lately but don't have a lot of vintage pieces from that era in my wardrobe -- most of my collection is 1940-1950s with some 1960s sprinkled in. I decided to stop by one of my local vintage shops, Antique Attic (Torrance, CA), to see if I could find anything to enhance my '60s collection and this dress instantly stood out.
I'm often hesitant to wear yellow, especially with my hair color, but I was drawn to the vivid color of this vintage beauty and its floral appliquéd chest. This micro-mini is made of a sunflower-yellow cotton with yellow daisies embroidered across the chest. I envisioned wearing this with a great pair of white go-go boots and creating a raucous about town. Instead, I just danced around barefoot in the middle of the road with a lovely neighbors van.
Ladies, this super fun dress is still available at Antique Attic, so hurry up and go get it! Tip: I'm very tall and have 36-inch hips, so this dress is a tad short and too tight on my hips/booty. Any petite girls out there with smaller hips will kill in this dress!
